Gifts from the Heart

The Saint Albans Community Living Center is a part of the VA Healthcare System.  It is located 1.4 miles from Trinity Lutheran Church of Locust Manor.  The center provides extended care services to veterans and their families.

Wherever and whenever possible, veterans are always deserving of gifts from the heart.  Veterans are men and women who are charged with the job of protecting the freedoms we value in the U.S. They risk their lives for people they have never met.  Often, they return from service injured, in many ways, and do not receive the support services they need. The Saint Albans Community Living Center provides extended care services to homeless Veterans or Veterans with multiple and severe medical conditions, mental illness, addiction, or psychosocial deficits, who need high-quality residential and clinical rehabilitation and treatment services.  97% of the residents are men.  There are only 3 women in the facility.
