Praise be to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Jesus, who is the very nature of God, chose to live as a man and then gave up His life to save all who would believe. He alone gives life everlasting. He alone forgives our sins. He alone loves us beyond our comprehension. In response to God’s gift of grace, we have been instructed to spread His Gospel message throughout the world.
We, as members of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League Atlantic District (LWML AD), are excited to tell you of some of the wonderful ways we are planning to do just that — spread the Good News of Jesus Christ in the coming months.
On Saturday, April 24, 2021, LWML AD will be hosting “LIFE IN THE SON”, our very first virtual Mission Festival. Beginning at 10 a.m., this festival event will include prayer, worship, bible study, Mission Moments, book study break-out sessions, and allow time for fellowship as well. “REVIVAL”, based on Psalm 85:6-7, will be the theme for our Fall Retreat at the Tuscarora Retreat and Conference Center. Jennifer Santos and Debbie Elliott, daughter and mother team, will be blessing us as our retreat leaders. Tuscarora is located in beautiful Mt. Bethel, Pennsylvania and the dates for this retreat are October 15-17, 2021. Registration forms and flyers will be made available shortly.
Plans are well underway for “BLESSED BEYOND MEASURE” LWML AD’s 2022 Convention. We are looking at April 29-30, 2022, and will be negotiating with The Crowne Plaza located in Suffern New York. We will be voting on Mission Grants for 2022-2024, revising our bylaws and scholarship resolution, electing a new President, Vice President of Leader Development, Vice President of Spiritual Life, and Jr. Pastoral Counselor.
